Almost an Accidental Architect

Tuesday, August 8 :::

Our reflection somewhere in there at the Chicago "bean"

Tomfoolery at the Palmer House where we were staying

Oh and we were there for the 4th of July

All thrilled to be at Buckingham Fountain

The EL, the preferred method of transit to Boystown

And all of a sudden we're in upstate New York picking cherries, cos that's what there is to do.

They've got ladders too.

More cherries

Getting a little something for the girlfriend (they have a unique relationship)

The Erie Canal

Mark really seemed to enjoy the "apple frost" frozen slushie things so he got too

In case you didn't believe me.

We also went to Buffalo and ate at the home of the buffalo wing.

Our last stop was NYC. I insisted we take the train.

Really the only thing I felt like photographing in NYC was the Chihuly show at the New York Bottanical Gardens.

Pretty effing cool.

It was really hot that day in case you can't tell.

Bio:::

I’m Daniel Gonzales, and I recently graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B. Architecture. I’m currently working for one of the largest commercial architecture firms in downtown Long Beach as a designer in their mixed-use urban redevelopment and retail studio. While in school, I worked for the Mustang Daily photo department for three years and also spent time studying abroad in India and Thailand. Yes, I realize none of that had a damn thing to do with architecture. I grew up in Ventura, and moved here to Long Beach after graduation. I'm a workin boy now.

I am not yet a licensed architect.
